The
IRCOL infrared projector is a collimator consisting of an off-axis
parabolic mirror and a plane folding mirror. This reflective off-axis
design enables to get a large optical aperture, occultation free on a
wide spectral range.
The collimator is
equipped with targets accurately set at the collimator focus. The
targets are mounted into a target wheel which can be manually or
remotely operated.
A differential
blackbody such as DCN 1000N2
or DCN 1000N3
is often integrated to the collimator.
The IRCOL collimator
is intended mainly for characterization of infrared optronic systems.
